DVNT Latest Videos This Might Be The Dumbest Advice I’ve Ever Heard! 😏 #musicmarketing

Written by DVNT on 8 June 2024

This might be the dumbest music marketing advice I’ve ever heard. The time of fake “artists” is over. You can see how the world is now turning against Diddy, DJ Khaled, J. Lo & all these other fake artists. Suddenly, we have real, authentic artists like Ren, Sleep Token, Raye, JMSN, Rezz, Nothing But Thieves & so many others getting millions of views.

The shift has already begun & it’s only just getting started. Moving forward, your authenticity will be your strength. Your authenticity will make you more $$$ than brand deals & superficial nonsense ever could. The shift will leave all these fake “artists” and idiot hustler gurus in the ditch. Can’t come soon enough IMO.

DVNT Latest Videos In Defense of Grimes…

Written by DVNT on 5 June 2024

Yeah, I know I should have uploaded this a month ago but… LIFE 🤷

Everyone was clowning on Grimes at Coachella. But, what everyone failed to mention… she’s not a DJ! No big deal, she’s only a musician, singer, songwriter & producer which is a helluva lot more impressive than being just a DJ.

Should she have had her boyfriend Anyma handle the DJing? 💯% but I understand her reasons for going up there solo. I think Week 2 they were sharing the stage more (dunno, I have 0 interest in Coachella aside from a few select artists). Lana Del Rey also got dragged when she also was fantastic. Alt artists are more about concept than perfectly executed stage shows & performances. It’s not pop music.

Give Grimes all credit! She is one of the ONLY well-known female producers we’ve got.
